Historic Savannah at its Best!

Set on one of Savannah’s truly picturesque squares, filled with glorious oak trees festooned with Spanish moss, and surrounded by elegant period homes, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Savannah is proud to offer our beautifully restored sanctuary as the perfect setting for your wedding or commitment ceremony.

Our sanctuary is available to all. It is climate-controlled and comfortable in all seasons. The sanctuary will seat about 175 people. There are eight rows of pews with a center aisle. The two front pews are half-size and are usually reserved for parents, family members or other special guests. The wonderful acoustical quality of the sanctuary will enhance the musical pieces included in your ceremony. The balcony is available for use by photographers, videographers, and musicians. The ceremony is usually conducted in the raised apse to allow for convenient viewing by all guests.

You may also arrange for pre-ceremony consultation with our Minister, Rev. Joan Schneider, and if you choose, Rev. Joan can conduct your service as well.

Separate arrangements may be made regarding music.

We recommend that you contact the church secretary at (912) 234-0980 prior to submitting the application to inquire about the availability of the sanctuary on the date you have selected for your ceremony.
